You may or may not have heard a Homily this Sunday on what the Feast of the Epiphany means. You might have looked up the word yourself online or in one of your reference books.

Very Touching and great "Song" and could not stop listening to it. The lyrics brought a lot of the things in prespective and the Chorous brought home the Birth of our Christ the Savior!!

Glad it worked for you. If I remember, I'll bring in the live version with Lou Reed, Bob Wasserman and Roseanne Cash.

Great song -- certainly different from any Christmas songs I've grown up with. Love to hear new interpretations. Thanks for sharing.

I posted the version with Lou Reed, Wasserman, Cash, on the Parent Info Link under Confirmation 2013. Lou's not everyone's cup of tea, but the harmonies with Roseanne Cash are more poignant.

Enjoyed listening to the song. Especially liked the lyric "It's a Christmas gift that you don't have to buy" It's easy to forget this gift amongst all the other holiday fluff.

Glad you liked it. Yes, the song does shift in the last verse from telling the story (in a modern way) to "preaching" a bit about the meaning of Christmas, but in a way that feels good to be reminded.
